Introducing...

Small Business Tech Day 2023

Established to help small business owners, like yourself, leverage the latest technology and best practices for improved productivity and profitability, Small Business Tech Day will be held online, for free. All you have to do is register - it's that easy.

The event will consist of four sessions hosted by leading experts and business minds:

  1. “A Shark’s-Eye View Of The Future Of Small Business Tech” hosted by Shark Tank's Robert Herjavec, who will discuss when, where, and why to invest in business technology.
  2. “New Business Protections You Need In Place NOW To Safeguard Your Assets”, hosted by Technique's Daryl D’Souza, will focus on actionable strategies that you can implement to proactively protect your business from cyber-attacks - a growing threat to SMBs in the past few years - and, in turn, also protect your profits and reputation.
  3. “The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly Of AI In Small Business”, hosted by Siri co-founder Adam Cheyer, is designed to prepare small businesses for what's to come in the field of AI, offering strategies that can help SMBs stay ahead of their competition.
  4. “How To Get Your Business To Run On Its Own” will be hosted by Mike Michalowicz, who will provide actionable steps that will enable you to take a vacation without fearing your business will collapse.

While all of these are equally important, I don't have time to get into too much detail about all of them - so I'll pick a favourite and talk more about that event if you don't mind. You can always visit the official website to get all the info.

New Business Protections You Need In Place NOW To Safeguard Your Assets

If you're still not convinced cybersecurity should be your #1 priority in 2023, here are some quick stats to hopefully change your mind:

  • In the past 12 months, 61% of SMBs reported at least one cyber-attack.
  • 83% of small to mid-sized businesses are not financially prepared for a cyber-attack.
  • 43% of small businesses don't have any cybersecurity plan in place.

And look, I'm not trying to scare you. But I do want you to really think about your cybersecurity measures and the possibility that you will be a target of a cyber-attack in the near future. Because, with those numbers, it's not really a question of IF you'll get attacked, but WHEN.

A lot of things are contributing to the current cybersecurity issues - the emergence of AI, dependence on work-from-anywhere models, and, unfortunately, an increase in online threats from overseas. Which is why it's more important than ever for you to learn how to protect your business, your profits, and your reputation.

All you need are the right tools, services, software, and partners. When you use technology the right way, you can make your life, and the lives of your employees easier, while also improving productivity and profitability.

And you can learn how to do that by attending Daryl D’Souza's session on cybersecurity. With over 10 years of experience in IT support, security, and compliance, Daryl D’Souza, together with his team at Technique, has helped over 500 small business owners integrate technology to protect their business from online threats and take advantage of growth opportunities.

Technology is Great, but Knowledge is Power

As a small business owner, you obviously don't have the resources that big corporations do. But there's a lot you can do with what you have - if you invest your money and time intelligently. Technology is great! It's made so many things easier and faster - and it will keep changing the way we do business, especially now that AI has entered the game. The sooner you figure out how to make all this smart tech work for you, the better.

Small Business Tech Day is the ideal opportunity to learn from industry experts - and it's free. The 2023 event is slated for November 16th, 9:00 am ET - and you can register by visiting https://www.technique.ca/small-business-tech-day-2023
