Built in 1879 by architect Julius Boekel as a 5-story tenement building, Blue Moon Hotel has since been transformed into an 8-story hotel by artist Randy Settenbrino. You'll find that staying at Blue Moon Hotel is just like stepping back in time. The building is the second oldest on Orchard Street, next only to the Tenement Museum across the road. Originally home to newly arrived immigrants in New York City, the hotel still has several artifacts from its original occupants on display, giving visitors a chance to step back in time.
