The Caveman Music Festival made its debut in 2022, when 5000 fans attended the inaugural event. The festival prides itself on featuring Americana music. A festival spokesperson says, “Americana music is an amalgam of American music formed by the confluence of the shared and varied traditions that make up the musical ethos of the United States, specifically those sounds that emerged from the Southern United States, such as folk, gospel, western, jazz, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, bluegrass, and other external influences.”

The location for the Caveman Music Festival is Colorado’s Monument Lake Resort, situated near the famous Sangre de Cristo mountains. You'll be able to soak up scenic vistas and historic culture, as well as a local fish hatchery. When not enjoying music, you'll discover plenty of opportunities for hiking, trout fishing, and outdoor exploration.

From Monument Lake, you'll have access to 368 acres of terrain between Trinidad and La Veta, with several day-hike options in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Monument Lake boasts brown and rainbow trout that can reach up to eight pounds in weight.
