Monthly General Meetings

Prostaid Calgary hopes to encourage men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, as well as their family members or caregivers, to participate in its supportive community.

The organization's monthly meetings take place in the CKE Community Centre on 73 Avenue Southwest in Calgary.

Expert Speakers

On April 17th, 2024, Prostaid Calgary will host its next monthly general meeting, which will feature Dr. Geoffrey Gotto. Specialized in the surgical management of urologic malignancies, including prostate cancer, Dr. Geoffrey Gotto is the founder and medical director of the Clinic for Advanced and Metastatic Prostate Cancer at the Prostate Cancer Centre.

During this meeting, as with all Prostaid Calgary general meetings, attendants can learn from the featured speaker, share their own experiences, and ask any questions they may have.

For interested parties who are unable to attend Prostaid Calgary's general meetings in person, the organization makes the recording of each meeting available online for later viewing.

If you register to get a FREE monthly subscription to Prostaid Calgary's Digital Examiner journal, you can receive email reminders before each meeting so you never miss a beat!

Warriors, Wives & Caregivers

In addition to its general meetings, Prostaid Calgary hosts "Warriors" meetings which are geared specifically for serving the needs of hormone-refractory Prostaid members.

Prostaid Calgary's "Warriors" meetings are less formal gatherings for members and those concerned about prostate cancer to network and share their experiences. These meetings may cover knowledge and experience in the management of advanced prostate cancer, new developments in detection, testing, and treatment, and even access to clinical trials.

The organization's "Wives & Caregivers" group also meets each month to share experiences and provide support for those living with the prostate cancer diagnosis of a loved one.
