Assisted Living Franchise Named Top Business For Women For The Third Time

Mar 28, 2024

The best franchise options of the year have been announced, with some new faces, and some familiar winners. Senior Care Authority has won numerous awards in the past, but this is the franchise’s third time winning the prestigious “Best Franchise For Women” prize.

Did you know that there's one thing seniors trust even less than politicians?

It's farts - and now that I have your attention, I'd like to direct it to something that seniors do trust, the Senior Care Authority. It just won another handful of awards as one of the best franchises for women, among other things. You can learn more about that at https://www.seniorcareauthority.com

I'm sorry if I threw you a curveball there, but I've been wanting to use that joke ever since... well, never mind. The point is, you're here now, we've had a laugh, and so now, we can talk about what matters.

Growing Old In Comfort

If you haven't heard about it, let me give you a super-brief history of the Senior Care Authority, so I can more easily explain why it's winning these awards, and why it matters.

The Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank Samson and today serves over 100 locations in 30 states. It includes professionally trained and experienced local senior advisors who assist families with the overwhelming challenges associated with selecting the best options in assisted living, memory care, nursing care, and navigating through a complex healthcare system.

In other words, it's a system set up to answer the questions we all have to ask as we get older - with the best interests of our aging friends always as the top concern.

They provide simple, expert advice so that we can make informed decisions, and live our best lives.

Winning Awards, Empowering Women

I want to cover this topic, but the truth is, someone else already has, and they said it better than I could. So here's what you need to know, straight from the source.

“We live in a time when entrepreneurial ventures have become more common than ever - women, especially, are feeling empowered and confident about starting their own businesses. We are instinctively supportive and empathetic, making us natural networkers and compassionate advocates for families. I am constantly amazed by the women who come into our network - by their high-level skills, technological savvy, and their ability to bring their soft skills to the table to improve and enrich the lives of our clients,” explained Marcy Baskin, Vice President of Franchise Support and Training. “Owning a Senior Care Authority franchise is a powerful vehicle for combining these qualities and a desire to do good work in the world, with a robust training and support program behind you.”

How Do These Awards Work, Are They For Real?

Now that's a great question, and one we've already asked - so let me share what I found.

The awards come from Franchise Business Review (FBR), a franchise research firm that performs independent surveys of franchisee satisfaction and provides the only reviews of franchises based solely on actual franchisee satisfaction and performance.

That's the important bit right there - these awards are based on franchisee satisfaction and performance, which I believe are the two most important metrics.

They answer the most important questions:

Are current franchise owners happy with their business?

Are current franchise owners able to run it as a successful business?

Franchise Business Review publishes its rankings of top franchises in its annual Guide to Today’s Top Franchises, as well as in quarterly reports throughout the year that recognize the top franchises in specific sectors.

Which is to say, they're very open, transparent, and public - so you can check all of this for yourself, any time.

What About The Competition?

Now that is a good question.

I admit, I forgot to ask it until one of my editors tipped me off, so I did some digging.

It turns out, this is a highly competitive award, so it's really quite significant.

Here are the facts:

Senior Care Authority was among 350 franchise brands, representing over 8,500 female franchise owners, that participated in Franchise Business Review’s research on the Top Franchises for Women.

Senior Care Authority’s franchisees were surveyed on 33 benchmark questions about their experience and satisfaction regarding critical areas of their franchise systems, including leadership, training & support, financial opportunity, and work/life balance.

As Michelle Rowan, president and COO of Franchise Business Review explained, “Franchising is a terrific option for women seeking business ownership on a full- or part-time basis. With so many franchise opportunities to choose from, it’s critical to do in-depth research to understand how satisfied current female franchise owners are with the training and support, work/life balance, financial opportunity, culture, and leadership of any brand they’re considering before making an investment."

"When you look at the brands on this year’s list of the Top Franchises for Women, 89% of women said they enjoy being part of their franchise organizations and 88% said they enjoy operating the business, making them all excellent options for women looking to make the transition to business ownership.”

These methods and techniques are simple, honest, and clear - if you want to know what the best franchises are for women - ask the women running franchises. It's brilliant.
