Truck drivers are often in high demand and TransTech has a high job placement rate for people who complete the CDL course. They have recently opened two new locations in Roxboro and Rutherfordton in addition to their existing locations in Asheville, Charlotte, Newton and Winston-Salem.

The courses provide full hands-on training from professional and certified trainers. The company is happy to offer small class sizes and modern facilities with all the most up to date equipment. All the TransTech courses adhere to all the requirements of the Department of Transportation and the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles.

They offer the truck driver training course as well as the Class A CDL license testing all in one place to provide a one-stop shop for training and testing. The course is offered both part time and full time to suit any schedule.

The full-time program runs over 4 weeks on a Monday to Friday schedule, while the part time classes run over 10 weeks of Saturday and Sunday classes. The team at Trans-Tech prides themselves on being one of the industry leaders in job placement and will work together with students to help them find employment after the program.

The course is separated into three portions: classroom, field exercises and behind the wheel training. The classroom portion covers topics including pre-trip inspection, mechanics, state and federal regulations, equipment safety, driver wellness and many more.

Field exercises include pre-trip inspection, straight line backing, 90-degree backing, offset backing and coupling/uncoupling. The final behind the wheel portion gives actual road experience including proper gear shifting, backing and turning techniques and speed and space management.

In addition to the standard truck driver training course, the school also offers corporate training and refresher courses. Interested participants can find more information and sign up at the link above.
