The studio provides a relaxed and fun environment for children to learn how to draw and paint. The classes are for students ages 8 to 18 who have an interest in learning classical art skills.

The curriculum is designed to teach skills and techniques to create representational art and progresses from drawing using the comparative measurement method, to value, and then onto color. The program is designed so that students can work and learn at their own pace and take it as slow or fast as they’d like.

The classes are limited to 6 students so that each student can receive focused and personalized attention and contain a variety of ages from 8-18, with a mixture of skill levels from beginner to advanced. The programs incorporate a combination of teacher-directed and self-directed learning with a focus on self-directed.

Owner and operator Amanda Lee Jones has her BS in elementary education and received art training under Mary Watkins at 3 Muses School of Fine Arts. After teaching at 3 Muses for 2 years, she decided to open her own studio where she is happy to teach from today.

Amanda has received much positive feedback for her work. One online testimonial reads, “Amanda is a stellar artist, but her true calling is teaching, and I am so glad that she has found a way to do both. She works well with kids and adults and is actually trained as an educator. Her painting speaks for itself."

The studio offers program semesters starting in the fall, spring and summer. Interested parties can find more information and enrol their children at the link above.
