Cole Associates Inc announces that its e-commerce store NorCal PROAV will officially be launched on August 2, 2021. To celebrate its opening, the store says that it will be giving away a HuddleCamHD 4K USB Webcam through a raffle that will be held on the launch date.

The new store is set to be a one-stop-shop for tech enthusiasts looking for the latest gadgets and accessories. As its name suggests, the company will focus on audio-visual equipment but will also be carrying various tech gadgets.

The launch of the e-commerce store comes at a time when more people are investing in a USB, HDMI, or NDI-HX video camera. According to experts, this may have been caused by an increase in teleconferencing and online classes.

NorCal PROAV explains that choosing the right webcam hardware can be the deciding factor between a good or bad virtual call. Even though most, if not all, laptops come with their built-in camera, it is still recommended to invest in a separate external webcam.

So what’s the difference?

The company reminds you that the webcams in laptops cannot be moved around and may hinder you from capturing your best angle. Further, built-in cameras typically cannot capture high-definition images. The store says that external webcams are cost-effective solutions for these problems.

Nevertheless, you may not know which external webcam to use for your specific needs. NorCal PROAV reveals that the most basic feature to take note of is the resolution of the webcam which determines the quality of the image.

Depending on its intended purpose, there are different recommended resolutions. For standard conferences, a resolution of 320×240 is good enough.

As it awaits its official launch, NorCal PROAV says that it intends to be an affordable online audio-visual store for all tech enthusiasts.

A spokesperson for the company said, “Our goal is to help more people connect easily with their friends or family without sacrificing video and audio quality. This way, they can learn, work, or just talk as easily as a face-to-face conversation.”
