Let’s Get Booking is an award winning online community created by 11 year old Shane Herman and 14 year old Nester Flores to help other kids who struggle with dyslexia build their confidence and self-esteem.

The organization was recently selected as one of the winners of the 2018 Palm Beach Philanthropy Tank for its work in the community, especially the reading out loud events it hosts in animal shelters and senior living care facilities.

Following the success of these recent public reading initiatives, they have just announced a new ‘Reading To Dogs’ event, which will take place at the Big Dog Ranch Rescue in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, October 14th, from 1 to 2 pm.

The event provides a calm, stress free and non-judgmental environment where the kids who struggle with dyslexia can practice reading out loud with no fears and anxieties.

They will do short sessions reading out loud to one of the rescue dogs, get rewards and prizes the more they read and bond with some friendly, loving dogs that really need the attention.

To make sure that all families and dyslexics can get the help they need no matter their budget or financial situation, the spots at the event are completely free and can be easily booked through their website online.

The founders, Shane and Nestor, explain “we’ve struggled with learning disabilities for years and we know how they can affect confidence and self-esteem. That’s why we want to provide free help to anyone who needs it, regardless of where they live or their financial situation.”
