The T-shirt design encapsulates a slice of New York’s zeitgeist, featuring graffiti from a popular wall along a bustling route that tempts diverse street artists to leave their mark. The depicted woman's face, set against a vibrant pink and purple backdrop, exemplifies the city’s creative energy.

Graffiti art has a rich history in New York City dating back to the 1970s. It originated as a means for youth in neglected neighborhoods to express themselves, but over time it evolved from simple tags to elaborate colorful murals and pieces. Now it is appreciated by the mainstream as a vibrant representation of New York's creative culture. Sarah James celebrates this evolution by featuring one of the latest graffiti pieces to grace the city's landscape.

The T-shirt is designed and produced entirely in the US. Made from high-quality cotton and printed using environmentally friendly inks, each shirt can be shipped within a week of ordering.

A wide range of designs is available through the Sarah James Jazz Merch store - including one piece inspired by art on the same wall as the above-mentioned image. It shows the next incarnation of the elephant in artistic form.
