Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee Joins Forces with Go West Creative (GWC)
Creative Agency to Manage the Historic Celebration’s First Virtual, Global Presentation
(SELMA, ALA.) The 56th Annual Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee will be virtual and broadcast around the world, and a new partnership is making that possible. The storied organization is collaborating with Go West Creative (GWC) to fight the spread of COVID and share the power of the voting rights movement with a global audience March 5-7, 2021. In addition to Go West Creative’s generous donation of services, other companies are contributing their skills and resources to make the online experience unforgettable, such as Film Dog Media, HUF Media, Black Watch Productions, efootage.com, Impact Creative and Santa Cruz Recording.
“We’re honored and proud to partner with the Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee to bring this iconic event to a global audience,” said David Fischette, GWC chief creative and executive producer of the event. “At this moment in our history as a nation, we need to look back at the bravery that took place in Selma 56 years ago and remind ourselves who we are and what we stand for.”
As the primary production partner, Go West Creative’s roles include the Jubilee’s overall production design, show-flow and visual aesthetic (along with digital asset creation). They are also providing equipment, personnel and the interactive digital platform for the three-day celebration, which includes a virtual Bridge Crossing reenactment that will air on March 7.
