Galloway’s story follows LaDarius Winter, a football star who fears that his life may be falling apart after the tragic loss of his father. Over the course of the story, LaDarius attempts to process this tragedy, as well as reclaim his love for the sport he was so passionate about.

You’ll find that the book offers a moving depiction of grief and how it can cause us to stumble or find our true calling. Galloway also promises a number of surprises if you pay attention, as LaDarius’ journey takes unexpected twists.

The launch of the novel comes alongside a short film trailer, released by Mpire Entertainment, which teases the screen adaptation of the story. It promises a faithful translation, as the screenplay was also penned by Galloway. The short film has been directed by Tashia Lyons Flagg and stars LeRoi Barrett, Amaya J, Tomlyn Nicholson, and Evelyn Lamden.

Galloway’s work finds its place among the burgeoning community of sports fiction, delivering a unique take on the genre and drawing on Edward Galloway’s personal experiences. In an interview, Galloway reveals that the book specifically draws from his time as a youth football coach and the personal struggles that the players experienced.
