Oct 20, 2023

Do your kids need to release their pent-up energy? Maybe a group class from Reverent School of Movement (559-388-1579) would help! Check out their exciting parkour, tricking and calisthenics training classes for children.

You’re trying to enjoy a quiet moment with a nice cup of tea and your favorite television program, but your kid has other ideas! All that pent-up energy has resulted in them jumping from sofa to chair like they are taking part in some kind of military training assault course. This is not the time or place! But Reverent School of Movement is!

The company's group classes include opportunities for parkour, calisthenics and tricking movements, with a focus on body awareness. Sessions last 50 minutes and are tailored to different age groups to suit their physical abilities.

Children aged 6 and over can select their preferred sport (parkour, calisthenics or tricking) to develop their fitness skills in a specific area. Reverent School of Movement’s popular tricking classes run on Wednesdays, incorporating martial arts kicks, gymnastics flips and ground moves originating from break dancing - a winning way to release your kid's energy!

Alternatively, you can sign your child up for the company’s calisthenics training classes, a discipline that involves using your body weight to build muscle and strength, with little to no equipment. With these exercises, the body provides resistance, helping to improve your child's balance, coordination and flexibility.

Another class on offer teaches your child the basics of parkour, a sport that involves efficient movement around obstacles by running, jumping and climbing. Based on military assault course training, parkour improves physical conditioning and strength while fostering your child's creativity and quick thinking.

If you have younger children (ages 4-5), they can attend one of Reverent School of Movement’s combo classes that combines the fundamentals from all three sports. These classes support your child in following instructions and having the confidence to try new things. The company also offers a parent-child ‘walker’ class which combines coach-led stations with free exploration.

Reverent School of Movement also offers open gym sessions for children of 6 and upwards. Coaches supervise these sessions which offer unstructured training time for your child to play, exercise and socialize with their friends. The open gym provides equipment for athletes of all skill levels and separates training times into youth (6-12 years) and teen/adult (13+) sessions.

A spokesperson for the company said: “For families juggling work responsibilities alongside their children's well-being, we understand the importance of engaging activities that take both aspects into account. Reverent is more than a gym; it is designed to resonate with your child's inclination towards dynamic play and utilize movement to support their developmental stages.”

With these exciting group classes, your kid can get fit and feel the fun! Unlock your child's potential in a safe environment. Goodbye, sofa climbing - hello Reverent School of Movement! Book your first class today at https://reverentmovement.com
