Christian Entrepreneurs Podcast: Overcoming Pandemic Challenges Through Faith

Have you been questioning your faith, your business, or your family relationships during the pandemic? Need help finding the silver lining in your pandemic experiences? Christian entrepreneur Lois Wyant has released a new episode in her podcast series, The Giant Builders, where she shares how she overcame her personal struggles during the pandemic to help listeners do the same.

In the new episode, Lois tells how she lost her father to Covid and how her mother was hospitalized by the illness and is still in recovery after almost 2 years. On the positive side, she tells how her granddaughter was inspired to raise money for a food drive for employees impacted by the pandemic.

As you know, the pandemic has impacted people’s lives nationally and globally in a way unlike any other current major event. You may have had to come to terms with what you truly find important in life, while at the same time having to face many conflicting views and opinions about the pandemic. The Giant Builders aims to create an alternative to an often confusing and chaotic media landscape with messages of authenticity and hope.

For Lois, one hopeful sign in the midst of severe personal struggle was a food drive for employees impacted by the pandemic. Her son, who is pastor of a church in Maui, started the food drive to help employees in the local tourist industry. In early 2020, flights to Hawaii were canceled and many tourist locations were closed down, putting extreme strain on the industry. Eighty percent of the workforce in Maui is employed in tourism.

Eventually, her son and daughter-in-law ran out of funds to provide complete nutrition in their food boxes. Their daughter had been contributing drawings with hopeful messages in each box, and she suggested they might be able to raise funds by offering her drawings in exchange for small donations. The fundraiser was very successful and led to the publication of a children’s book by Lois’s daughter-in-law, called "You've Got What It Takes!"

Lois Wyant founded The Giant Builders to share insights gained from building “giants” in her own life - her family, her business, and her faith. In the new podcast series, she inspires Christian entrepreneurs like you to build your own “giants” and strive to perform at your best in all areas of life.
