The charity car show, which benefits the Ronald McDonald House Foundation, takes place April 8-9, 2017 at Camp Jordan Park near Chattanooga, Tennessee. In addition to bringing one of the shop’s recently completed restoration vehicles, the shop will also participate in the Expert Panel, fielding questions from Volkswagen enthusiasts.

Hazel Green, AL - United States – April 7, 2017 – VW Restoration shop Airkooled Kustoms, an established leader in Custom classic Volkswagen restoration, today announced plans to attend this weekend’s Bug-A-Palüza 19 in East Ridge, Tennessee.

The event will be held at Camp Jordan Park near Chattanooga to celebrate all eras of the iconic VW: Beetles, Buses, Dune Buggies, Karmann Ghias and more. Volkswagen enthusiasts flock to this event, looking for inspiration, hard-to-find parts, and hobby-related merchandise.

"This will be Airkooled Kustoms’ eleventh trip to Bug-A-Palüza, the largest VW show in the Southeast. We’ve been long-time sponsors of this show and love it because it’s the first show of the season for us. It’s always fun to see what other VW builders and designers bring to the show, to see how their vision translates into reality," said Eric “Spook” LeClair, founder of the classic VW restoration shop in Hazel Green, Alabama. "I’ve probably ruined VW car shows for my friends. When we stroll through the grounds, it’s not the flashy, blingy cars that catch my eye. I’m looking for tight, straight bodywork, project composition and cohesiveness, and the vehicle’s flow, fit and finish. It’s the vehicles where the builder’s intent carries consistently through all the elements, where there’s a subtlety to the modifications that I really like."

At this year’s show, along with getting their fill of Volkswagens from every era, attendees will also get an education from local industry leaders who will participate in an Experts Panel. Confirmed so far, the panel includes: Spook and Rodney Culp of Airkooled Kustoms, Tony Walker of Aircooled Werks, Ed Minton of Ed’s Foreign Car Parts in Gadsden, Jack Rymarchyk of Bug Stuff, Kale Carter, and Joy Powers of the VolksAmerica magazine. The Q&A Experts Panel will take place at 1:00 on the Main Stage.

The shop will also have items from its merchandise line available for sale, from t-shirts and other apparel to Darkside mugs, and more.
