If you have a young dog, or you're planning to get a dog, the very best thing you can do for them is to enroll them in training. Your dog looks up to you to be their leader, which is why guidance and structure are so important.

But not all training is the same. It's important you choose an organization with a good track record and stellar references.

When you partner with Bull Valley Retrievers you get all of this and more. And don't be fooled by the name, Bull Valley is an all-breed facility - and it is now accepting new clients!

The company celebrates 10 years of success in obedience, gun dog, and companion dog training, the many award-winning puppies and dogs its trainers have produced, and the advanced level titles in the AKC, UKC, and APLA Hunt tests the organization has achieved. In 2019, Bull Valley Retrievers received the Best of Woodstock Award.

Whether your goal is simply a happy and obedient family dog, or a hunting companion that's right on point in any terrain, Bull Valley Retrievers will work with you, either one-on-one with your dog, or on your behalf, to help your dog reach their potential.

Bull Valley Retrievers accepts only a few dogs per program, so it's best you reserve your spot now. Fewer dogs mean more attention can be paid to each dog to ensure nothing slips through the cracks while they're forming new behaviors.

Your dog's training program is personally designed by Bull Valley Retrievers' owner and trainer, Joe Scarpy, a passionate trainer and hunter.

You can start with the obedience program to form those all-important foundations. Your dog will learn to sit, stay, here/come and heel on command.

From there you can move through a list of specialized training programs that include Companion Gun Dog training, One-On-One Training, and Hunt Test Training. Hunting retriever training focuses on Waterfowl and Upland Hunting, a specialization you don't want to put in the hands of a novice trainer.

The dog training equipment your dog will learn with is always best-in-class to ensure their training experience is positive and successful. A proud partner of, retailers of all varieties of dog equipment and training gear, Bull Valley Retrievers has access to many of the newest dog training equipment as soon as it’s available. You never have to worry your dog will start looking for your socks as a chew toy - by the end of their training, they'll be far too proud for that.

Because of its rural location, Bull Valley Retrievers trains on some of the best grounds available. The goal is to mold your dog into the best they can be without setting expectations too high at first, just in case your pup is less apt to become a champion, and also out of respect for your overall goals, which, let's face it, don't have to be to raise a champion.

On the other hand, if you've purchased a purebred dog you're looking forward to being shown in the ring, you are in the right place with Bull Valley Retrievers. Either way, they've got you covered.

The award-winning Bull Valley Retrievers is proud to announce they are now celebrating their 10th year of all-breed dog obedience training, companion and retriever training, gun dog, waterfowl and upland hunting and training, and short and long-term boarding services. If you've been planning on arranging for those obedience classes, now's the time to get in on the best.
