After 4 years Tech Co CrashBay Scales-up their Marketplace for Car Care & Repair

CrashBay.com is celebrating their 4th Anniversary, which commemorates 4 years that have been intense, incredibly rewarding and at times challenging years in business. This is a huge milestone for the North American-based Digital Marketplace business, which has provided Digital Car Repair Marketplace experience to Car owners and Fleets since 2019.

CrashBay.com got it's start in 2019 when founder John Harvey observed that the rest of the world was already accustomed to buying and selling their services via digital marketplaces and there was a clear gap in the B2B automotive collision, car care and repair segment. After several conversations with small and large auto shop owners as well as big and small fleet and insurance companies they validated that the market needed a technology solution that could level the playing field and bring it all together in one simple and easy to use solution specifically curated for the automotive segment. Then they got to work on building out the technology infrastructure and selecting the service providers who can make the magic happen for the end consumer. After launching their minimum-viable-product (MVP) in early-2019 they signed on their first group of shops and the product suddenly became a real company!

One of the earliest challenges CrashBay.com faced was launching just before a pandemic that caused people to stop all non-essential driving. Suddenly the demand for what was originally built; to solve a capacity shortage in the collision segment, had vanished. And that's when they did their own pivot and doubled down on the investment in their technology stack and opened up their offering to include all services under the car care and repair umbrella..

While every business of course faces challenges, some, like CrashBay.com are fortunate enough to enjoy real successes, wins and victories too. Once such victory came when they continued to pursue niche opportunities in the market and landed their first few big contracts. After building custom API's to deliver full system integration with their B2B clients CrashBay was back in the game again! This provided the boost that the company needed and reinvigorated the staff, shops and other service providers and partners. "Suddenly we were cool again and now we've added new talent to our leadership team and that's making a world of a difference. You truly don't have a company until you have customers and a team; the idea and technology aren't enough on their own. Once you do that you can start to innovate and build things that others just can't replicate." said CrashBay CEO

John Harvey, Founder and CEO at CrashBay.com was also quoted when discussing another big win. "One of the high points of CrashBay.com 's history so far was our partnerships with incredible companies like Consolidated Collision Services with their national footprint of ~87 dealer-owned body shops, this was one of our first partnerships - an early adopter who believed in our vision and we're incredibly grateful to their leaders Mike Beier, Tom Langton, Sandy Liquori and team for their support. We had many other multi-store-owner (MSO) groups and independently owned shops and dealer groups that have supported us along the way in addition to some key strategic-silent-partners and vendors who are too many to name here. Another big win was our recent tire, wheel and mechanical partnership with In Motion Brands; this is just a foretaste of what's to come.."

CrashBay.com 's Founder, John Harvey says "We're delighted to be celebrating our 4 years Year Anniversary. I believe the secret to getting this far in business today is; and I know this is going to sound cliche, but it really is all about the people. Not just hiring warm bodies, but finding the best and brightest out there who really believe in the purpose and mission of the company and want to make a positive impact in society. We're helping small businesses grow, we bring big business contracts to small family-owned multi-generational shops at an affordable price and fast. All while helping car owners get back on the road quickly. Helping small business owners rebuild their businesses by keeping their shops full feels pretty darn good! Not to mention the rapid service we can offer to car owners, fleets and insurers in a targeted marketplace that they can use anytime they want and the best part about our marketplace is that is keeps growing! We have zero restrictions on how big we can grow in any market. As long as there's qualified shops, we can help them.".

CrashBay.com currently consists of 10 employees and has big plans for the upcoming year. One of their core objectives is to maximize growth in both Canada and the USA with plans to span the globe. "Who knows, our partners may take us international sooner than later, if the demand is there our technology will be there too." said Harvey - CrashBay is serving the end user and shop owner first while helping all stakeholders grow, "we can do that almost anywhere in the world." With the CrashBay model, everybody wins, big shops, small shops, corporately owned, franchised or independent - they all coexist in one car repair marketplace. Soon car owners will be able to travel virtually anywhere in the world and have CrashBay as their travel companion - a tool in their pocket to help them find trusted service providers from the comfort of their smartphones anytime, anywhere!.

CrashBay.com would also like to thank friends, customers and all its partners for their well wishes on this happy occasion.
