If you live in Suffolk County, NY and you want to improve your lacrosse skills, consider signing up for one of Long Island Sports Training’s (631-594-4048) coaching programs!
It’s been said that lacrosse is the fastest sport on two feet! This may be the case, but it’s also a game that requires a great amount of skill, finesse and composure. To be good at it takes a lot of practice—the kind of practice that Long Island Sports Training provides.
Its programs are designed to help you improve all aspects of your game, from shooting and dodging to stickwork and cradling. As part of the programs, you also receive a lacrosse player-specific strength, speed, and conditioning plan to help you get in shape.

Long Island Sports Training can provide you with access to training grounded in fundamentals and player development. During the programs, you’ll work on shooting, dodging, stickwork, cradling, field vision, footwork, and passing. Goalie-specific training is also available if you play the position.
Because lacrosse is a fast sport that requires a high level of fitness, Long Island Sports Training also provides you with a custom strength, speed, and conditioning plan tailored to your individual ability and skill level. The goal of this plan is to get you ready for your upcoming season and to help you maintain your fitness levels throughout the season.
All of Long Island Sports Training’s programs are delivered by Mr. and Mrs. Coach Gilmore. Together they have over 30 years of experience playing and coaching high-level sports. They have also obtained all the necessary licenses and certifications to deliver training programs.
“At Long Island Sports Training, we offer lacrosse training services rooted in fundamentals and player development,” said Mr. Coach Gilmore. “Our lacrosse training programs are player-specific, and we can address any area of your game you feel needs improvement. We’ll also help you get into tip-top shape for the start of your season.”
Long Island Sports Training offers three different options for you to choose from. Private coaching is available if you want one-on-one coaching. For groups of 4 to 8 players, group training is recommended. If you have 8 or more players, you can request team training; however, with this option, your group must provide a field or practice facility to use.
To sign up, just call the number in the description or fill out the contact form on their website.
In addition to lacrosse, Long Island Sports Training provides training programs for a variety of other sports, including soccer, baseball, and basketball. As with the lacrosse programs, these programs can be tailored to accommodate your skill level and ability. They also offer specialized high school and youth sports programs for athletes in these categories.
If you simply want to concentrate on things like speed, strength, and agility, Long Island Sports Training also has programs dedicated entirely to these topics. Again, the programs are age, fitness, and athletically-appropriate.
