The Lucky Goblin Games will be hosting a weekend of official Magic the Gathering tournaments at its welcoming, comfy shop the 21st and 22nd of April. The winners will take home Dominaria pre-release packs.

For all those around Quincy who are fans of Magic, the gaming shop announced it will be hosting a weekend of official Magic the Gathering tournaments this 21st and 22nd of April.

The tournaments announced to celebrate the pre-release of Dominaria and the return of its iconic Planeswalker characters and legendary spells, will see participants play four rounds of Swiss, and the winners take home special pre-release packs.

They will start on the Saturday at 2pm, and will all take place at its comfy facility with plenty of space to play and a variety of drinks and snacks on 1456 Hancock St., very close to the Red Line MTBA Quincy Center train stop.

Born as passion project of a couple who believes gaming is for everyone, the shop will be hosting a variety of other evenings and events for lifelong players who like to compete, families with kids looking to have some fun and all those who just want to learn and try a new hobby.

One of the founders, Seamus, explains “I was lucky enough to have a game shop in my neighborhood growing up and although it closed a while ago, the memories live on. Now it’s my turn create some similar memories for all those who love to escape the world from time to time.”
