TENS machines are a safe way to manage your pain without having to rely exclusively on pharmacological interventions which can become harmful and less effective over time.

The Ultima Five can be used to relieve musculoskeletal, lower back, and arthritic pain as well as reduce muscle inflammation and help poor circulation. The technology works by blocking pain signals before they reach your brain.

This device features a large LCD screen, making it easy for you to make adjustments to the various modes. Electrode pads attach to your body at the pain site. These are disposable but will last for around 15 treatments.

The modes include Burst 1 and Burst 2 alongside a constant setting and three modulation options. Owing to its dual-channel design, with the Ultima Five, you can generate and send two different signals, at varying strengths, to two pain sites simultaneously. The unit is powered by two AA batteries and ships with a soft carrying case and protective covers for the amplitude controls.

The device also has a timer that you can set for continuous operation or in five-minute segments up to a maximum of 90 minutes. A belt clip allows you to wear the device on the move while its compact design means it's easily concealed under clothing.

A spokesperson says, “The handheld neuromuscular stimulation device comes ready-to-use with 1 pack of 4 electrodes and a 1-year limited Warranty against mechanical defects. A prescription from your physician or physical therapist is required for this device.”
