Online LGBTQIA2S+ Therapist For Gender Identity In BC Does EMDR Therapy

Jul 28, 2023

Grigore Counselling & Associates offers an LGBTQIA2S+ positive space, with two new ethnic professionals now available for virtual EMDR therapy sessions.

When it comes to your mental health, there is no shortcut and no timeline - but if you can get there faster, wouldn't that be great?

If you've tried therapist after therapist to no avail, now is not the time to give up - it never is. Maybe if you found a therapist who comes from a similar background it would be easier for you to move forward on your journey.

Grigore Counselling & Associates believes everyone should have access to counselling and EMDR therapy, with a counsellor that they feel they can trust and even relate to. As such, the therapy office has recently added two new EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapists: Inderjit Aujla MA, RCC and Lacey Poltorasky MA, RCC, CCC.

Robert Grigore MCP, RCC, founder of Grigore Counselling & Associates, believes that Inderjit and Lacey, being of Indo-Canadian and Indigenous, Tahltan descent, can bring a unique cultural perspective and experience to clients experiencing race and identity issues, along with other common mental health issues such as anxiety, panic attacks, and trauma.

Since they both have unique areas of focus, Grigore Counselling & Associates will now be better equipped to provide counselling and EMDR therapy to a broader range of professional clients and their family memebers.

Meet Lacey Poltorasky MA, RCC, CCC

Working mainly with individuals aged 10 and above, Lacey has experience with complex trauma, cultural, racial, and LGBTQIA2S+ issues. Her flexible approach is rooted in the belief that therapy is an opportunity for self-discovery and acceptance. While Lacey is driven to help you reach your goals as fast as possible, she also believes it's ok to just slow down and take a breath. Her areas of expertise include intergenerational trauma, racial & self-identity, and sexuality.

Both Lacey and Inderjit hold an LGBTQIA2S+ positive space.
