Houston health insurance will have expanded access moving forward

Bob Main says current administration is devising plan to give more Americans access to better health insurance in Houston Texas and prove that they can do healthcare better than the ACA.

Houston health insurance and those who have it or don’t have access to it could see access expanded to as many as 13 million Americans due to a new plan by the current administration. According to a report by conservative papers, the White House Council of Economic Advisors estimates that millions of Americans will now have health insurance access that is better tailored to their healthcare needs than what has previously been made available. This expanded access is in response to current healthcare prices and over regulation, the report states.

The goal for the White House’s expansion project is to zero in on expanding short-term limited-duration health insurance plans, association health plans, and health reimbursement accounts and create better alternatives for many younger and healthier Americans. The thought is that short-term plans, including health insurance in Houston will cost less than the Affordable Care Act (ACA) because federal statute doesn’t require them to comply with all of the ACA’s regulations. The administration’s rule allowed Americans to purchase short-term plans for up to 364 days and renew the plans for up to three years, something the ACA does not currently allow.

Rick Thornton, a Houston health insurance agent points out that these are the sort of changes many Americans will see in the ongoing battle of “which is better” between the Affordable Care Act and the new reforms the current administration is rolling out. The goal of the current administration is, of course, to have the ACA repealed entirely. Their thought with the latest news is that more Americans will save more money on their health insurance premiums. This is something the President has championed since his last State of the Union address in February.
