Businesses Can Get Help Filing for Employee Retention Credits
NEW ORLEANS (Dec. 16, 2022)—Get professional help filing for Employee Retention Credits (ERC) before the CARES Act monies run out. ERC Professionals was formed specifically to help businesses and their employees continue to work and thrive during these still uncertain times.
“ERC Professionals does all the sometimes-daunting paperwork required by the IRS to secure the maximum refund due their clients,” says Eddie Bronston, president. “Experienced third party advisors will walk clients through the approval process, give them a refund estimate, and complete the application process. These advisors have processed thousands of refunds for clients for tens of millions of dollars.”
“To fully grasp the complexity of the work necessary”, says Bronston, “the following is only a small portion of the IRS regulations”. According to the IRS website, “The credit is fully refundable because the Eligible Employer may get a refund if the amount of the credit is more than certain federal employment taxes the Eligible Employer owes. That is, if for any calendar quarter the amount of the credit the Eligible Employer is entitled to exceeds the employer’s share of the social security tax on all wages (or on all compensation for employers subject to RRTA) paid to all employees, then the excess is treated as an overpayment and refunded to the employer under sections 6402(a) and 6413(a) of the Internal Revenue Code (the “Code”). Consistent with its treatment as an overpayment, the excess will be applied to offset any remaining tax liability on the employment tax return and the amount of any remaining excess will be reflected as an overpayment on the return. Like other overpayments of federal taxes, the overpayment will be subject to offset under section 6402(a) of the Code prior to being refunded to the employer.”
Depending on individual business circumstances, the government states that businesses could receive up to $26,000 per employee that works for them from 2020 to 2021.
The service costs nothing up front—ERC Professionals’ fee is paid only when they secure a refund and that refund is actually paid by the IRS. From beginning to end, the application and approval process typically takes 3-5 months.
ERC Professionals is a consultancy business that launched in Oct. 2022. It is based in New Orleans, La. The organization’s website is ExtraCovidFunds.com .
