Dr. Alice Prince highlighted at STL Startup Week Entrepreneur Showcase

STL Startup Week celebrates the St. Louis region’s entrepreneurs and “is wholly financed through sponsorships that leverage the resources and capacities of the entire community - ultimately ensuring that St. Louis Startup Week exists for the community, by the community.” STL Startup Week is produced by a dedicated volunteer coalition of leaders, entrepreneurs, and community organizers. Developed by more than 25 local support organizations with dozens more serving as event hosts, STL Startup Week is a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship held in the creative spaces and places that comprise the St. Louis startup community and will take place November 8, 2021 - November 12, 2021.

The region’s growing startup scene was ranked second on Forbes’ 2018 list of top rising cities for startups and named the city with the most women entrepreneurs in the U.S. by SeekCapital.com in 2019. Dr. Alice Prince is among those women entrepreneurs, having launched her company, Pathways United, in 2019. Dr. Prince is scheduled to present at the entrepreneur showcase during the November 2021 STL Startup Week. The strides and success of Pathways United has been nothing short of amazing with an inaugural partnership with the St. Louis Archdiocese, making space for more diversity and inclusion education. Under the leadership of Dr. Alice Prince, Pathways United has formed partnerships with the Federation of Catholic Schools, the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Administration, and one of the most impactful partnerships with the Department of Energy (Pathways to BioPower).

Dr. Alice Prince launched the Pathways to BioPower Program, a partnership with the Department of Energy and Pathways United, that will use patent pending, innovative technology via artificial intelligence and advanced scientific visualization to enhance opportunities for people of color and minority/women/disadvantaged business enterprises to enter the bioenergy fields. Pathways to BioPower will provide multiple opportunities and positive outcomes to intentionally create access to bioenergy careers for people of color and develop a skilled workforce to support the newfound demand. It is no secret that Dr. Alice Prince has been an authority in workforce development, and her expertise will highly serve the bioenergy sector with the Department of Energy. Pathways United, a STL Startup in 2019, is now helping other entrepreneurs leverage their business in bioenergy. Dr. Alice Prince has a targeted and direct approach, “Be intentional. Provide Opportunity. Create Generational Wealth.” Her approach is not only elevating her company, Pathways United, but it is also simultaneously lifting other small businesses, partnering with the Department of Energy as a vehicle.

The proof is in the work and now pending awards.
