Kosi is a second generation Canadian, as his parents immigrated from Jamaica before he was born. They came to Canada with so little, but he remembers when they were able to buy their first home. Witnessing the work ethic and drive of his parents, Kosi quickly realized that business and investments were his strongest interests. He started saving vigorously for his first investment in real estate at the young age of fifteen. While working through his teenage and college years, he eventually had enough savings left after graduation to take out a mortgage to buy his first property. Over the next three years he renovated the property before ultimately flipping it for profit.
Kosi went on to buy his next property — this time in a higher price bracket. Instead of renovating the property for a quick flip, Kosi rented out different parts of the house in order to create income that would offset his mortgage payments. Since he was also working as an engineer at the time, it allowed Kosi to ultimately make and save money. This cycle of real estate investment continued, and by the age of thirty, Kosi owned ten properties.
