As a consultant and speaker I was urged to write a book in my niche - a topic that has never had a full book written about it before. My book is called, "Yes Vote: The Public Hearing Plan for Developers" and it was published by Morgan James Publishign in January. Right now, it's available on Amazon and through special order at your local bookstore. I''m excited to announce that it has been a bestseller in 11 categories on Amazon and is expected to continue to be a big hit with Real Estate Developers and Public Relations professionals. If you'd like more information on the book, check out the Amazon listng: https://yesvoteplan.com/ This is the third book I've written. I hope that it will help those seeking approval from decision makers at public hearings or public meetings. When I wrote it , I wanted it to be extremely useful, with specific actions readers can take. So Yes Vote: The Public Hearing Plan for Developers is focused on preparing for a public hearing by building support in order to overcome opposition and get a Yes Vote. Readers will likely find particular interest in all the details I included, which are clearly the result of real-life experience. My background is n public relations and crisis communication. This helped shape the creation of the book because I learned a lot about human nature when I served as the bearer of bad news to those in the path of pipeline construction projects. I would stand on the front porches of homeowners and tell them about these extremely disruptive construction plans. They ways they reacted taught me a lot. I took that knowledge and created a process for building a support network for the projects I have consulted on. I wrote the book because there was no other resource on the market for real estate developers and public relations professionals. I had served as the "clean-up crew" for twenty years when others failed at getting approval at public hearings. I thought it was time to put down all I knew so that others could successfully navigate their way to Yes Votes, too. I hope that the book will help those needing approval understand the pitfalls that might be waiting for them - and avoid those that can be avoided. I've been asked about some of the challenges I faced during the book's creation. At one point, I realized that I had three trips planned and my first draft was due at the publisher's. I ended up writing several long chapters while on flights by following my detailed outline and dictating the text into the Keep app. My father has always had an unfailing belief in me, and my daughter has always given me so much loving support. I was very lucky to have the support of my family and really good friends. If you'd like to get in touch, please visit my website at https://yesvoteplan.com/
