How to Become The Complete Business: three tips from the new book, The Complete Man, how to achieve ultimate performance, fulfillment, and victory in every area of your life.
Are you a male entrepreneur tired of feeling incomplete and like something is missing in your life? Well, today is the day you have been waiting for.
In the next few minutes, I'll show you how to take control and live at your HIGHEST POTENTIAL. I will show and teach you how to become the man who wins in business and ALL aspects of life.
Let me open your eyes to some hidden secrets about success.
The Adversity Angle
Most men have grand dreams. Some men achieve them, while most fall short of their true potential. So for the past two decades, I've dedicated myself to answering the question, "what separates the high-achieving man from the everyday man who falls short of his potential?
Here's what I have found out in my quest for answers.
Both types of men have a consistent pattern. The first is the pattern of bumping up against things that get in the way of achieving one's dreams. Both groups experience these "bumps and bruises."
But successful men seem to know how to take advantage of adversities. Or more specifically, the right kind of stress gives successful men the edge over others.
Now, here's where it gets interesting.
Unlike their counterparts, unsuccessful men not only seek to eliminate adversity from their life, but they also cave into it. This is a double-edged sword because the unsuccessful man not only habitually quits, but he often self-sabotages by avoiding life's biggest opportunities out of the fear of adversity, pressure, and stress.
Trapped By Time
The successful man also approaches time differently. In the unsuccessful camp, you find that most men believe in the notion of time being the most important resource. A resource that is finite, fixed, and can't be improved.
So you often hear from this group, "I just don't have enough time."
But is this true? Is time THE most important resource?
Not by a mile, because successful men, whether they are conscious of it or not, know that THE most important resource is ENERGY.
With the right level of energy, you can masterfully leverage time.
For example, ENERGY impacts performance, and performance impacts how long things take to come to life. So for every unit increase in energy that increases performance, you can gain/save time.
Thus, successful men, with the same 24hours in a day, accomplish much more. This is because they know the power of energy, and they know how to do three things with energy:
1) How to create energy
2) How to maintain energy
3) How to magnify energy
When I coach businessmen on energy management, their performance and outcomes skyrocket. Plus, energy mastery also fortifies you mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. This becomes a self-perpetuating cycle that helps successful men to become even more successful.
By contrast, the unsuccessful man is trapped by time and falls short of achieving his dreams. As you can guess, this cycle has the predictable outcome of creating even more low energy, equaling lower performance, and a lower ability to tap into their potential.
Focus For Fortune
In today's society, your attention is under assault. You are constantly bombarded with thousands of messages each day, all telling you where to give your attention. From media to marketers, your employees, to your family, everyone wants your attention and focus.
Many of my entrepreneur clients say that it's getting harder and harder each day to stay on track with their goals. And the reason is simple. Over time, even the best of us becomes divided.
Someone throws a cool idea your way, and you decide to take it for a spin. After a while, you're doing so many different things that you aren't making progress on the things that matter most.
Beyond killing productivity, lack of focus also crushes a man's capacity to overcome challenges. Studies have shown that the more focused the brain is, the more creative it is in figuring out ways to overcome challenges.
And remember, WE all have challenges. But successful men take on the right type of challenges and optimize themselves to overcome them. Focus is one of the primary ways in which they do this.
Here's an example of the power of focus. Imagine chopping wood. If you tried chopping it with a sledgehammer, it wouldn't work that well. But if you used an ax, the wood would easily split. Not because you are trying harder, but because you are trying smarter by applying ALL of your force into a narrow blade.
This is what focus is. It's the ability to align ENERGY into a tight grouping for maximum impact. So men, keep your brain on track and focused because multitasking and its efficacy is a myth. You're just switching your conscious thinking from one area to another, which is about the same thing as chopping wood with a sledgehammer.
