This is the first book Good has authored. The book was written with the aim in mind to provide a book to keep all the chords, tabs, musical scores and lyrics for blues musicians and songwriters. There's also particular excitement about this launch because it is the first book of its kind, providing a way to notate the Guitar Chords, Tabs, Music notes and Lyrics of songs.
Blues Guitar Tablatures For Composing, Rehearsals, Jamming, or Performances sets its main focus on aiding musicians during all stages of the creation process and while recording or performing. Readers will likely find a particular interest in the fact that it is the most versatile book of its kind. The book's cover art was created by the author himself and Blues Guitar Tablatures For Composing, Rehearsals, Jamming, or Performances is being released by Supernal Publishing Services International.
Evander Good has a background in being an educator, computer scientist, creator, inventor, songwriter, and musician. This helped shape the creation of the book by exposing the author to music and songwriting while in Blues and Gospel bands.
When asked about why they wrote the book, Good said: ""When looking for a book to help with composing, rehearsals or performances, all the available tablature books were inadequate. This book was created to fill that void, so all the chords, tabs, notes and lyrics could be captured together in an organized manner.""
Good has hopes that the book will help musicians and songwriters in their day to day lives while concentrating upon the music, and having fun doing it. This positive outlook from the author is certainly testament to their optimism considering some of the mishaps during its creation. At one point the size of the document became extremely large because of all the tables and lines, and the word processing software became very slow, causing the need for long hours to be expended to complete the book.
In a recent interview, the author made a point of thanking the friends he played music with and composed with for their part in the creation of the book, saying: "thank you for the inspiration and feedback"
