Gender Wellness of Los Angeles, one of the nation’s leading practices dedicated to gender and sexual orientation-specific mental healthcare, has tapped Los Angeles resident Kenyai O’Neal to its team of highly qualified, gender-affirming trained therapists.
Gender Wellness of Los Angeles, one of the nation’s leading practices dedicated to gender and sexual orientation-specific mental healthcare, has tapped Los Angeles resident Kenyai (Kayo) O’Neal to its team of highly qualified, gender-affirming trained therapists, announced the practice’s founder Casey Weitzman. The Texas native relocated to Los Angeles during the height of the pandemic and set about bridging her passion for art with her fascination of mental health, particularly in the LGBTQI+ space.
“I dedicated three years to education and research, focusing on marginalized experiences,” says O’Neal. “My approach centers on helping clients gain clarity about their identity while developing practical strategies to transition from their current circumstances toward their desired goals. I highly value the therapeutic relationship, as I believe it is essential for effective care. Once trust is established, my aim is to ensure you feel seen, heard, and safe enough to explore the areas of life that are meaningful to you.”
Added Weitzman, “We’re delighted to welcome aboard the newest addition to our staff. Kayo’s training in relational gestalt therapy, solution-focused approaches, liberation psychology and psychosynthesis puts her in the vanguard of our field and will, no doubt, prove valuable to helping our clients find their true, authentic selves.”
