Dr. Gousse graduated as valedictorian of his undergraduate class at City University of New York, after which he earned his medical doctorate at Yale School of Medicine and graduated cum laude, the highest honors awarded at Yale. He completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and his postdoctoral fellowship in urodynamics, female urology, and pelvic floor reconstruction at the University of California.
Once fully qualified, Dr. Gousse opened his Miramar practice where he undertook extensive research in the field of urology, publishing over 70 papers in various research journals. He has served as a tenured faculty member at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and is currently the director of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive urology at Memorial Hospital Miramar.
He is passionate about spreading his work internationally and helping those all around the world, and as such lectures throughout the United States, Brazil, Puerto Rico, and France. He speaks English, Spanish, and Creole, and is the co-founder and president of the Haitian American Leadership Organization (HALO) which funds annual scholarships to students of Haitian descent.
