Detroit residents and building owners have the chance to win cash and assistance for their businesses in the Motor City Match contest being held by The City of Detroit. Deadline for entry is January 15, 2023.
Detroit residents and building owners are invited to enter into the latest Motor City Match grant contest sponsored by The City of Detroit. Motor City Match connects new and expanding businesses with services and space to grow, providing them with the funding and tools to fuel the city’s entrepreneurial revolution. Funding for the program comes from federal and other sources. Candidates in the Plan and Develop rounds must be Detroit residents. For the other rounds, the candidate’s building must be in Detroit.
The program favors those businesses that are poised for success and that will help with the city’s goals of rebuilding. Candidates must have a well-developed concept and reason for locating in Detroit. Many types of businesses have won awards, from restaurants, to beauty salons, to yoga studios, to clothing stores and to co-working spaces.
