Global Quality Assurance Initiative Standardizes Quality Management in Aerospace
St. Augustine, Florida - April 12, 2018 — Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CarlisleIT), a division of Carlisle Companies (CSL), has achieved AS9100 certification for its Blackburn, United Kingdom facility.
CarlisleIT's Blackburn site was established in 1988 as a joint venture between Rosenberger HF Technik GmbH & Co (Germany) and Micro-Coax Inc. (USA), to provide customers with the combined experience of two leading developers of coaxial interconnection products. CarlisleIT acquired the joint venture, including the Blackburn facility, in 2017.

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies Blackburn delivers cutting-edge technology in the field of standard and custom RF cable assemblies, RF test and measurement devices, RF coaxial connectors, as well as automotive products, harnesses, fiber optic products and custom copper assemblies.
Prepared by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), with representatives from aviation, space, and defense companies in the Americas, Asia/Pacific and Europe, the AS9100 standardizes quality management system requirements. Used by aerospace companies around the world to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance at all levels of the supply chain, this certification is a product of an international effort to establish a single quality management system for use within the aerospace industry.
With this certification, Carlisle Interconnect Technologies Blackburn joins all CarlisleIT sites in the US and Mexico, as well as its Dongguan, China site as achieving AS9100 compliancy.
