To try and remedy these appalling statistics, Intelligent Cloud LLC is giving the proceeds to shelters in order to provide some comfort for the animals.
The artwork attempts to capture the shared bond between animals and people, and encourage more consumers to join the donation drive by making a purchase. The online store was created by Amit Sarkar, Chief Creative Officer at Intelligent Cloud LLC, who wanted to combine his technological expertise with his affinity for animals to help support pet shelters in the United States.
Amit says, “We have created this site with the sole intention of love for pets and a significant portion of the profit will go to pets’ shelters. We lovingly crafted each product with the utmost attention to detail, in order to bring out the beauty of each pet.”
Animal shelters saw a boom in adoptions during the pandemic but recent spikes in inflation have caused many owners to return their adopted pets to shelters, according to an article by the Washington Times. An operations manager of a Mississippi animal shelter who was interviewed by the newspaper stated that some people are having to choose between feeding their families or pets, thereby feeling forced to return the animals they previously adopted.
The rising inflation costs are predicted to cause more than 250,000 cats and dogs to require care, according to the Valley Humane Society in California.
